Herbert McClure

Herbert McClure, is a world renowned artist whose career was catapulted when he entered the arena of advertising in 1950's New York City. His illustrations became the talk of the times and today one of his paintings, 'North Carolina' from the United States Series, permanently resides at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. The inspiration for his abstract paintings (and the beautiful woman who graces them) is his beloved wife. The two raised a family in Long Island where his son Joshua McClure took to photography and started his own career in the arts.
